Molasses is quicker

We now have internet again in our apartment so expect more posts, starting hopefully even as early as later on today. Meantime, things are progressing fairly smoothly with the adoption process for Maxim, but it's two baby steps forward and ten giant leaps backwards. Hurry up, hurry up, then wait, wait, wait, so our return date has been delayed by a few more weeks than we'd thought even a week ago. Molasses is much quicker than this process. After this morning's visit, we will have gotten to visit with Maxim four out of the last five days. We are not sure that we get to go over there on the weekends though. Would love to hear from more of you.

  1. Charlene & John,

I know how it feels to be thousands of miles from people you know and to want that outside contact. Rest assured, we are following you and praying daily for things to go your way. We, too, hit that wall in Ukraine where everything and everyone seems to be putting obstacles in your way. Keep preservering and pushing forward. It seems like forever while you are there, but once you get home time speeds back up. Next thing you know you will be attending your son'e wedding wondering where all the time went.

You can do it, you are strong people. I know by reading your posts. Lesser, disappointed folks would have given up long ago. Keep going and rescue one more angel! You are doing God's work, know that He is walking by your side, even in the dark and bad times.

  2. We are praying that God grants you favor with the officials and patience for the waiting. As long as you're waiting, wait on the Lord and let Him renew your strength! Delays are not denials!

  3. Hi you all! That fella sure is a cute boy. What a doll!!!! That blond hair is gorgeous. It sounds like things are going well. I am really happy for you all. I can't wait to meet him. Now, Jeffrey and Chase will have a buddy:) He's the perfect age. Maybe he should come to my house and show my guys how to be grateful for things. Really makes me re-think spoiling my kids so much. I can't imagine being without the sun so long. It's worth it -- -just keep telling yourself that and hang in there. Things are fine here. Trying to get ready to fly out and it's more work to leave then it is to stay. I am sure you can relate:)

All is well at WJMS. We think of you often and can't wait for you to come back.

    All our love,

    Heather and Matt
